Calvert Trust
Calvert Trust provides adventurous activities for people with physical, sensory or learning disabilities.
We welcome groups and individuals, families and friends for a broad range of outdoor activities. These include canoeing, kayaking, sailing, climbing, abseiling, high ropes courses and archery, taking place in countryside of exceptional natural beauty.
Guests can choose from an all-inclusive or self catered outdoor activity course or break. The range of ensuite bedrooms, apartments, cottages and lodges each differ at our centres, but all share the focus on accessibility. Specialist equipment such as hoists is freely available to make our visitors' stay more comfortable.
Each centre has a large relaxation area, a swimming or hydrotherapy pool, a dining room where our home cooked meals are served, a sports hall and a variety of nearby accessible walks.
Every Calvert Trust centre has its own individual style and its own unique way of delivering activity courses. This allows us to fully engage visitors of all ages and abilities.
The Kielder centre offers adult respite care so that those needing a little extra support can also enjoy the activities on offer.
The Lake District centre specialises in activity courses for groups and also offers paragliding.
Our centre in Exmoor welcomes individuals, families and groups and has its own onsite stables.
All the Calvert Trust centres share the philosophy of 'it's what you can do that counts.'
